# YesJob > Job search for Canada. YesJob reads public careers sites (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday and more) every few hours and tags each posting with what decides whether someone in Canada can apply: where it is, whether it is remote from Canada, employment type (full-time, part-time, co-op, internship, contract), co-op term, work authorization and salary. Postings link to the employer's own page; apply there. Agents and bots are welcome to query the JSON API below. It needs no key and returns facts and links, not the full posting text (read that on the employer's page via `apply_url`). Responses are cached for a few minutes; please keep to a few requests per second. ## Topic pages Fixed pages with today's numbers (open postings, employers, work-permit and remote shares) and the newest postings; good to cite: - [Jobs in Canada](/canada), [Co-op and internships in Canada](/canada/co-op), [Remote jobs you can do from Canada](/canada/remote) - Co-op by term, e.g. [Summer 2027](/canada/co-op/summer-2027); by province, e.g. [Ontario](/canada/co-op/ontario); by city, e.g. [Waterloo](/canada/co-op/waterloo) - By province, e.g. [British Columbia](/canada/british-columbia); by city, e.g. [Toronto](/canada/toronto) - Every page is listed in [the sitemap](/sitemap.xml). ## JSON API - [Search jobs](/api/v1/jobs?q=data+analyst&location=ON&page_size=20): `GET /api/v1/jobs`. Returns `total`, `results`, `next` (URL of the next page or null), facet counts and, on page 1 of a keyword search, `companies` whose name matches, each with its careers page (some companies' jobs are not listed here, only linked). - [One job](/api/v1/jobs/{id}): `GET /api/v1/jobs/{id}`. Adds `summary`, `salary_text` and `sources`. - [One company](/api/v1/companies/{id}): `GET /api/v1/companies/{id}`. The company, its website and careers pages, and up to 50 of its open jobs. Every HTML page also links its JSON version with ``. ## Search parameters All optional; lists are comma-separated. - `area`: left out (or `canada`), jobs in Canada or remote from Canada; `north_america` for Canada, the US and Mexico or remote from there; `world` for every country. Combine with `workplace=remote` for remote jobs only. - `q`: keywords in the title and description, e.g. `accountant`, `software developer`. - `location`: country code, province code or city, e.g. `CA`, `ON`, `Vancouver`. `CA-ON` means Ontario, Canada exactly (`PE` alone is also Peru, `NL` the Netherlands). - `remote_country`: jobs that can be done remotely from this country, e.g. `CA`. - `workplace`: `onsite`, `hybrid`, `remote`. - `employment_type`: `full_time`, `part_time`, `contract`, `temporary`, `coop`, `internship`, `fractional`, `freelance`. `coop` and `internship` each return both. - `term`: co-op or internship start term, e.g. `2027-Winter`, `2027-Summer`, `2027-Fall`. - `work_auth`: `citizen_pr_only`, `any_valid_permit`, `sponsorship_available`, `unspecified`. - `salary_min`, `salary_max`: yearly salary in CAD. - `language`: language the job requires, e.g. `fr`. - `company_id`: jobs of one company. - `page` (from 1), `page_size` (up to 50, default 20). ## Fields worth knowing - `remote_eligible_countries`: countries a remote job can be done from; `["anywhere"]` means worldwide. Empty means not stated. - `work_auth_required`: `unspecified` is the common case and means the posting does not say. - `salary_cad_per_year`: `{min, max}` converted to yearly CAD, or null. - `status`: `open` while the posting is still listed on the employer's site. - Most tags come from the careers site's own structured fields and simple rules; they can be missing or wrong. Check the employer's page before relying on them.
