Company Description Safety First Contracting doing business as AWP Safety is presently accepting applications to fill various openings for Traffic Control Persons.

Job Description Responsibilities include:

- Ensuring temporary workplace are signed in accordance with provincial requirements

- Ensuring all equipment required for the day is loaded on the truck prior to departing

- Interacting with customers in the field to understand scope of work and level of traffic control required

- Ensuring Traffic Control Persons are following all safety policies in the field

- Acting as a Traffic Control Person while crew members are on breaks/lunches

- Performing routine inspections of temporary workplaces

Qualifications Training & Requirements:

- Provincial Traffic Control Person Certification

- Provincial Traffic Control Agent/Signer Certification

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

- Steel-to boots

- Provincial Traffic Control Person Certification

- Provincial Traffic Control Agent/Signer CertificationLicence/Certification:

- Nova Scotia Traffic Control Person Certificate (preferred)

- Nova Scotia Temporary Workplace Signer Certificate (preferred)

- Nova Scotia Class 5 Drivers license (preferred)
