Orthodontic Assistant at Wood Orthodontics

Job description

We are expanding our team! Looking for an Orthodontic Assistant who is able to work in a fast paced environment with a positive attitude. Must be an outgoing and reliable team player with a strong work ethic.

Duties include:

- Help to maintain patient flow pattern by seating patients promptly and begin procedures

- Place separators, elastic ties, and wires.

- Prepare teeth for bonding

- Remove braces and place lingual retainers

- Monitor oral hygiene of patients, instructs on correct brushing

- Sterilize instruments

- Keeps drawers stocked, clean, and replenished

- Communicate with patient/parent at each appointment and answer any questions

- Take CBCT scans and iTero scans

- Chart accurately using Dolphin software

- Assist Orthodontist in any given procedure

- Anticipate what doctor may need during appointment and takes action

- Manage chair side time efficiently

- Performs daily side work

- Attend all other staff meetings and morning huddles

- Abide by established office policies and procedures

- Represent the practice in a positive way inside and outside of the office
