Job description
Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Senior Marketing Specialist, CX & Membership Marketing on a temporary basis (term up to 12 months).
If you're passionate about creating meaningful member experiences and building strong relationships, this is an opportunity to make an impact across the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS). The successful candidate will partner with local Co-ops to shape customer experience and membership initiatives that drive engagement, loyalty, and long-term growth. This role is ideal for a confident communicator who thrives on collaboration and turning feedback into action.
This position is a hybrid opportunity based in Saskatoon, SK. However, for the right candidate, we may be willing to explore remote opportunities across western Canada.
What you’ll do:
- Shape the customer and member experience strategy, ensuring every initiative strengthens engagement, loyalty, and the Co-op brand.
- Transform customer insights and business needs into programs, campaigns, and solutions that deliver measurable value for members and local co-ops.
- Build strong partnerships across the CRS to influence decisions, align priorities, and drive successful implementation.
- Elevate organizational performance through data-driven recommendations, continuous improvement, and a deep understanding of customer and member needs.
- Champion a customer-first culture by advancing best practices, developing organizational capability, and leading innovation in experience design.
- Serve as the subject matter expert in customer experience and membership marketing, providing recommendations that strengthen member engagement, customer loyalty, and the overall Co-op value proposition.
Who you’ll work with: You'll report to the Senior Manager, Local Co-op & Membership Marketing, and work alongside a diverse network of local Co-op leaders, marketing professionals, and business stakeholders. Success in this role will come from your ability to influence, facilitate discussions, and foster alignment among groups with varying priorities and perspectives.
Why it matters: We help local Co-ops grow and thrive by offering a range of professional services, including marketing, market research, information technology, human resources, accounting, risk management and business development.
Who you are: You are looking for a career in marketing and:
- Have 6-9 years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, program development, or strategy.
- Have strong retail operations and customer service expertise.
- Have a bachelor’s degree in business (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
What we offer:
- Competitive salaries, short-term incentives, and an employer-contributed pension plan.
- Encouragement to take advantage of learning opportunities to grow and develop as a Team Member.
- As a co-operative, we do business differently. We believe in working together to serve Western Canadians, delivering profits back to our communities and investing in sustainable growth. To learn more about who we are and what we offer, visit www.fcl.crs.
We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations throughout the recruitment process to ensure an enjoyable candidate experience. If you require an accommodation during the recruitment process, we invite you to submit your requests to us via [email protected]. All information received will be kept confidential.
If this opportunity speaks to you, we invite you to apply by November 15, 2026.
We thank all candidates for their interest, however only those selected to continue in the recruitment process will be contacted. FCLLP
As this position is considered a position of trust, you may be required to complete a criminal record check in accordance with FCL policies.
FCL embraces diversity and inclusion. We’re working to create a workforce that is as diverse as the communities we serve and an environment where every team member brings their whole self to work. We believe all candidates should feel at home with us and be given the opportunity to fully participate during the recruitment process.
