Job description

We are the creators of Flipper Zero https://flipperzero.one/ — a portable device for tech enthusiasts and engineers. It’s a gadget with an awesome community that brings together millions of people around the world. We’re building a new product — Flipper One. It’s a full-featured ARM-based computer running Linux in a compact form factor, powered by the Rockchip RK3576 SoC.

We’ve decided to make the entire development process fully open and public. That’s why we’re looking for a Developer Portal & Community Manager to own and manage the Flipper One Developer Portal: maintaining the wiki, creating regular development updates, reviewing contributions to GitHub repositories, and proactively communicating with the community. This role is perfect for you if you want to be close to the product, see firsthand how it’s built, and help make the contribution process clear for the community.

What is the Developer Portal? The Developer Portal is a public wiki https://docs.flipper.net/one + a set of GitHub projects built around Flipper One. It documents Flipper One’s development process, explains Flipper One’s architecture of its major subsystems, and provides contribution guides for the community — showing how people can contribute to each sub-project. The Developer Portal gives the community a front-row seat to Flipper One’s development and a voice in shaping its future.

Requirements:

- You write clearly and concisely. You can provide examples of your guides, instructions, READMEs, or how-tos

- Basic understanding of hardware, software, and development workflows (Git, commits, branches, pull requests)

- Able to explain complex technical topics in simple language

- Strong verbal communication skills

- Can create visual technical materials with the help of illustrators and videographers

- Proficiency in Russian and English for communication with our developers and the community

Nice-to-have:

- Experience moderating tech communities (Discord, Reddit, Telegram, or forums)

- Experience participating in open-source projects (software, hardware, or documentation)

- Know the basics of the Linux OS

- Experience in embedded systems (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, etc.)

Responsibilites:

- Maintain the Flipper One Developer Portal

- Track updates in sub-projects and turn them into guides and tech specs on the portal with the help of the tech writing team

- Post regular development logs https://docs.flipper.net/one/dev-log on the Developer portal and announce them in Flipper RnD socials with the help of SMM

- Moderate community contributions on GitHub and comments on the Developer Portal

- Help SMM answer technical questions in Flipper RnD socials

- Collect requests from the community and bring them back to the team

What we offer:

- Fully remote from anywhere in the world

- You will be provided with all the necessary equipment for a comfortable working environment

- Benefits such as VHI, corporate sports, foreign language courses, and therapy sessions

- A five-day workweek with a flexible start of the working day
