Job description

Responsibilities will include:

- Providing exceptional member service

- Operating and maintaining equipment in a safe and responsible manner

- Timely completion of all department tasks

- Assisting members and customers with carrying out grocery items in a safe, courteous manner

- Delivering exceptional customer service

- Performing housekeeping duties when required

- Wearing all personal protective equipment as per Evergreen Co-op policies

- Adhering to all Evergreen Co-op safety policies and procedures

- Being comfortable with working indoors and outdoors, and changing environments frequently

- All other duties as assigned

- This position requires a significant amount of standing, walking, lifting, bending, and twisting

We are ideally seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

- Previous retail experience with knowledge of grocery/food products is an asset

- Self motivated, reliable, responsible, friendly and hard working

- Ability to handle multiple demands at once while still providing excellent customer service

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Commitment to cooperative values and principles

- Possesses a sense of urgency, and customer first attitude

- Ability to be physically active with lifting up to 50 lbs is required, as well as, a good portion of the day doing static positions
