Job description
this role, you will:
- Develop Python code to read and interpret inspection-requirement files, including XML, YAML, CSV, and TXT.
- Automate the conversion of engineering requirements into standardized objects in metrology software such as GOM and PolyWorks.
- Export inspection results into Excel reports and dashboards.
- Support the automation of 3D-scanning inspection processes, inspection-plan generation tools, databases, and reporting.
- Work with engineering drawings, tolerancing, inspection standards, and quality requirements in an aerospace environment.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Automated Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Advanced Python knowledge, including Pandas, venv, and pip.
- Basic knowledge of Git and GitHub.
- Familiarity with mechanical design, engineering drawings, and GD&T.
- Knowledge of linear algebra, 3D geometry, point-cloud/STL file management, and metrology software such as GOM or PolyWorks is a strong asset.
- French-language capability and the ability to work on-site in Longueuil, Québec.
